This is one of the finest ways to develop psychic ability using concentration and contemplation. Following the principle that we live in a sea of mind energy which is impressed by all matter in creation, the most simple physical object must have thought energy within it. The science of radionics has been developed to study the properties of different minerals and metals to discover which are the most conducive to different types of mind energy. Gold, silver and precious stones are particularly effective in storing psychic energy.
The psychometrist uses this principle by concentrating and contemplating on an object, such as a ring, watch or bracelet which has been worn regularly by one person only. Their thoughts and feelings will be registered firmly within the object and the psychometrist will be able to discern much about them purely by holding it in his hand.
To practise psychometry, take such an object from somebody, preferably someone you do not know at all well, hold it between the index finger and thumb of both hands and start to concentrate upon it briefly. Then swiftly move into a more contemplative state allowing the mind energy contained in the object to come to you. Start to observe the thoughts, feelings, pictures and even sounds which float through your mind. Since you are learning, it is perfectly acceptable to ask questions of the other person to see how accurate you are.
By practising this you will learn the difference between a genuine psychic impression and just your imagination. When you correctly identify an image or thought which you could not have known about consciously, remember the sensation that you experienced so that you can discriminate between this and just a flight of the imagination.
Gradually you will become more and more accurate at this practice, which can be great fun as well as an extremely effective method of psychic development. You may even start to gain impressions not only about the present and past of the owner of the object, but about their future as well, which indicates that you are becoming clairvoyant. You will then be tuning into the sea of energy within which all life exists. |
